The debate?

So, I have realized that I'm not so good at blogging, among lots of other things. But what do you do? Do you cancel the blog or just post once in a while?

This is where my thoughts have been with the blog.

North Carolina's biggest Chair

After two plane flights and a 4 hour car drive we arrived in North Carolina Beach!! We spent the entire day swimming in the ocean and hanging out at the beach. The beaches here are just like you see in the movies. I don't know what it is about the ocean but I have such a need to be around it. We started planning this trip 4 months ago and finally we are here.
Things I have learned since being here.
Jen follows the speed limit only on vacation
Trisha does not do well with multiple people giving here directions at the same time
Jill is a little fish
Jen drinks more Diet Coke than Vitamin Water
Half of us are not afraid of a little power ball action (which will be split 5 ways and is currently at 111 million)
Trisha will do ANYTHING for 5 bucks
Katy likes her closet to be checked before going to bed
Sara is afraid of spiders but not criminals
The cops still question us at 2:00 a.m.
NC has the biggest rocky chair
That downward dog is ackward on sand
That the only thing missing from Ashleys house is the white picket fence
It is possible to consume 6000 calories in a day
that drinks taste better in wine glasses
That elevators which only hold 500 lbs are shady
Southern hospitality is real
Oh the things you learn about each other when it the clock ticks 2:00 a.m.

At Last...

My love has come along...
I am thrilled for Stacie and JJ!! It is so exciting to find the one you are going to spend the rest of your life with.

San Diego

This is Ashley and her husband Dave. They are so much fun to be around. Dave is pretty much going to be the best plastic surgeon here in a couple of years, if not already. They flew in from NC to be there for Stacie. This is Trisha and her cute husband Matt. Trisha can get Stacie laughing like no one else.

Old Friends, great company. Ashley and Trisha are childhood friends. There is nothing more magical then having a childhood friend still in your life. They know you, really know you and love you. Thanks for that.

JOY!!

Being one of Stacie's bestfriends people often ask me if she is happy. Could you find a happier bride? She was so emotional on her wedding day. It was sweet and unexpected. She walked into the room where she was to be married sobbing with tears of joy.

after thoughts

So, I was thinking about my post where I talk about infants and how I feel about them. Then I started to read some fun blogs of people I know (who are definitely on the attachment parenting end of things) and it made me think....I wonder if I just don't really like twin infants. :) I know right? It sounds weird but I do think my parenting style is a little more on the attachment side of things and when you have two infants to care for you don't usually get the luxury of choosing your parenting style. When there are two infants crying you have to pick which one to help first.

There were times I when I would be feeding one baby and the other baby would be crying because they were hungry and I would just cry with them while I feed their sibling. They were two little to prop bottles up and feeding them sometimes would take 30 minutes each.

There were sad times.

Forever?

Is my cute, nice, fun baby gone forever? Teething has taken her far far away from me.

10 Teeth 30 To Go

Kate =2
Zack=8

I am convinced.
The devil doesn't come out at night.
He comes out when a tooth is erupting.

Inspired

I met the sweetest down syndrome baby named Max today at work. His mother came in to have her teeth cleaned and brought him in with her. He was attached to his oxygen tank and had the fattest cheeks. I have never met a down syndrome baby and I have to say I was immediately in love. really.

What amazes me the most is that this little boy was going to have open heart surgery in a couple of days and that his mom and dad choose to adopt him when he was 1 month old.

I think there are wonderful inspiring people out there in this world. This woman is at the top of my list.

If you have never met a down syndrome baby your life is not complete.
