The Walmart Mom

Tonight at Kohl's I was totally that mom, the one I judge and think to myself she shouldn't be aloud to have children.

We arrived at Kohl's just after 6:00 p.m. (yes I love Kohl's) Wade needed to use the restroom so I started to walk with the kids when suddenly Zack took off, thinking it was funny to run around the clothes racks, as did we all when we were two. I picked up Kate and that's when the yelling began and it didn't stop until I caught him and found myself holding two kicking and screaming children. Maybe the yelling hadn't stopped because I'm still not sure how Wade found me on the floor holding them down in the middle of the store.

I never thought in a million years I would actually drag one or any of my children by their arms to the car. It wasn't pretty.

I count 12 kids!

Last night we meet up with some of Wade's high school friends and their cute, fun wives (not just saying that, I really mean it) and 12 kids. It was crazy!! We were there for almost two hours and I didn't complete a single conversation. We were the first to leave and it's not cause Zack and Kate were done but because mom was done running around after them!! Is this a twin thing I am experiencing? How is it that the rest of you talked and laughed and shared stories? Even though we just saw you all last night.... I miss you.

What is it about blogs?

I just got done looking at blogs and I have to say, I hate blogs. I know I know, some of you really are just as happy as you seem. The rest of us are searching for a picture where our love handles aren't hanging out and thinking about how we can make motherhood seem super fantastic like not a moment goes by where we don't wonder about life pre-twins. That's all.

I know, I know, I don't have to read them.

Bath Strike

Kate is currently on a bath strike.

One night she decided she didn't want to bathe. I thought it was cute that she was expressing herself. The next night she again expressed that she did not want to get into the bath. It was not so cute the second night or any night since then.

Every 3 or 4 days she screams and screams as I bath her. Bath time is now torture time. Maybe I can use that.....Kate don't hit Zack or else you have to take a bath. :)

In Charge

This last weekend Zack decided to throw himself onto the floor in his bedroom from his CRIB!! All because rocking him for 20 minutes before bed wasn't long enough for him.

Thanks for reminding me who is really in charge around here.

Things I hate about my life

#1 That Zack and Kate still LOVE their bottles at 18 months
#2 That Zack still wakes up almost every night
#3 That Kate refuses to eat in her high chair
#4 That Kate is on a bath strike (2 weeks now)
#5 That every Sunday dinner at Wade's parents house is when and Zack and Kate lose it!
#6 That Zack thinks it's okay to wake up at 5:30 a.m. most mornings

Of coarse there are lots of things I love but these are just a few of the things I HATE!!

Mother of the Year

Yesterday as Zack, Kate and I were playing near the stairs. I thought it would be fun to teach them to throw balls and have them watch as they fell down each step. And it was fun.

Until the gate gave way and BOTH my babies flew down the stairs head over feet-repeat 4 or 5 times.

I just watched it happen like any good mom would.

And I was thinking about canceling my blog. How could I make other women feel better about themselves if I did a thing like that.
